The search for my next car continues

Just an update on how my search is going. Had a look at the s60 t5 2day, nice car, seemed to be in good condition, wheels could do with a refurb and the front discs need replacing soon. Paintwork seemed alright for the mileage and the interior was in good condition (apart from where the cup holders are). It was quiet and smooth and drove well enough, but... nice as it was, i just didn't "want" it enough, if that makes sense!? So tomorrow i'm going to look at the S70R (which should make cameron happy. lol). Which looks great from the pics, hope it looks as good in the metal! More updates tomorrow

Hey Liam. I'd spotted that S70R myself. Did you go see it today?

Yes. Its mine now!

Well, it will be on wednesday, i'v put a deposit on it, and as long as everything goes to plan i'll be driving it back wed evening.

Cheers. Strange really, been looking for an s60t5 for over a month now, and seen a couple of nice cars, but they just did'nt pull me in. Wasn't sure what to expect with the s70r, thought it looked pretty good in the pics but as soon as i got there i liked it. The pics don't do it justice, i think it looks fantastic in the metal. Although i'll admit i don't now the most about the older cars (i did try to look for as much info as poss on the net before i went), it seems to be in fantastic condition for its year. Even the seats look in good condition considering they are half suede. The main thing for me though is the fact it made me feel good in a way that the s60s didn't. Sorry for going on, its just that i can't wait for wednesday! Oh and its not 310bhp (obviously), the guy apologised for that its got 287bhp, with a rolling road report to prove it.

Don't apologise mate, I'm very envious. I just wish my annual mileage was lower so I could plumb for cars like that again. You'll have to keep us informed on how you get on.

Cheers. It really does look better in the metal! I pick it up wed evening, so i'll let u know how the drive home is that night, after i'v been round my mates to show them it! Not as slow as yesterday! I decided to have a half day at work (normal hours are 7am-3pm) so i could gat the car earlier, i couldn't wait until the evening! Easy day at work to, as the power went of at 9.30! Anyway, got the car now and everything seems good, a few v minor things that i need to sort out on it, but considering the age its in v good condition, seems to have been looked after v well by the previous owners, lots done in the last 10000 miles or so (front shocks, brakes, timingbelt, wheels, front spoiler respray, etc) Handles a lot better than i thought for a big girl! The only bad point is how bad the headlights are, seem pretty poor, so i'll be replacing the bulbs with some more powerfull ones, may even get some updated headlights ( but don't want to change the looks to much). And i'll be looking round for a front strut brace. That should be enough info for now lol. Pics up this wknd, i had to drive back through a mini snow storm! Btw i'm loving it!

Cheers. I'd just been to a local independant volvo garage and was going to the main dealer to get a front strut brace (£74). Should be picking it up on tuesday. I'll try and get some pics up tomorrow (rally cross cancelled), try and give it a clean if i get time.
